Athletics Stations!

We are so lucky to have our bright, spacious hall for P.E lessons.
We love doing stations where we change activity every ten minutes. We get to practise all the athletics skills we learned in February.

Grandparent's Day

We celebrated Grandparent's Day during Catholic Schools week this year. Thank you to all the grandparents that took the time to visit our classroom. They answered questions about their school days and favourite games. The children really enjoyed the day!

Operation Transformation Walk!

On Friday the 27th of January, all schools across Ireland took part in the Operation Transformation ' "10 at 10" The children exercised for ten minutes at 10am. We also went on a 2k walk around the Doughiska pitches to promote the importance of daily exercise. The children were very enthusiastic and did really well to walk so far!! Thank you to all the parents that joined us on the day!

Guide Dog Visit

On Monday 23rd and Tuesday 24th of February, Marian Maloney who is Ben Kavanagh's granny came to give us a talk regarding the work of the guide dog and about the challenges of vision impairment. The children got to ask lots of questions. Marian’s dog Yaz completed an unknown obstacle course to show how he works to help her move around. The children learned a lot from the visit. Thank you Marian!
